This exercise can be done on a stability ball or a bench. Perform the following movements by contracting your muscles in your upper back. For the Y, create a Y with your arms with your thumbs pointing towards the ceiling. For the T, create a T with your arms with your thumbs pointing up. For the W, make a W by bending your elbows and keeping them at your side. Again the thumbs should be pointing up. The L exercise consists of brining the elbows up and then rotating the shoulders back. Emphasis is on contracting the muscles around your shoulder blades. Weights can be added to this exercise as needed.
